Comply with energy audit requirements and save energy

The European Commission requires large companies to perform energy audits every 4th year, and the 1st energy audit has to be carried out by 5 December 2015. However, there are many ways to fulfil the requirements, for example by establishing certified energy management. We help companies finding the most favourable solution.

The requirements apply to companies that:

  • Have more than 250 employees
  • Have an annual turnover of at least 50 million Euro or an annual balance of at least 43 million Euro
  • Use more than 100.000 kWh in Denmark per year

In Denmark, there are 3 ways to fulfill the requirements:

  • Perform energy audits according to DS/EN 16247
  • Establish certified energy management (ISO 50001)
  • Establish certified environmental management (ISO 14001) which also includes an energy audit

Viegand Maagøe has many years of experience counselling on energy issues in the industry sector. Many of our consultants are licensed to perform energy audits. We make sure that your energy audit complies with requirements, and we point to possible energy savings on a large scale which will affect the bottom line positively.

Some of the things we do include:

  • Deciding what is the most favourable way for your company to comply with requirements
  • Performing energy audits and drawing up an energy audit report
  • Help your company carry out possible energy savings suggested by the report
  • Establish certified energy management as the next step
